Sam Cotton, co-owner of Birdies Pro Shop, brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the golf community. A lifelong golfer with a background in sports science, Sam’s journey in golf began at a young age, inspired by her father’s love for the game. She spent her youth playing on various courses, participating in junior tournaments, and developing a deep appreciation for the sport.

Sam pursued her passion academically, earning a degree in Sports Science from the University of Queensland. This education provided her with a solid foundation in the biomechanics of golf, performance enhancement, and sports management. After graduating, Sam worked as a golf coach and fitness trainer, helping golfers improve their game through tailored training programs.

In 2024, Sam joined forces with Hannah Mackay to co-own Birdies Pro Shop. Her vision aligned perfectly with Hannah’s, aiming to create a comprehensive golf resource centre at Seabrook Golf Club. With Sam’s expertise in sports science and coaching, Birdies Pro Shop quickly became known for its high-quality equipment, professional advice, and innovative training programs.

Sam is particularly passionate about youth development in golf. She plays a pivotal role in organising junior clinics, “Get into Golf” activities, and school programs, ensuring young golfers receive the best possible start. Her commitment to nurturing talent extends to partnering with Golf Pro Alex Hamilton to offer high-performance coaching for aspiring athletes.

Away from the shop, Sam is an avid golfer who loves testing the latest equipment and techniques on the course. Her dedication to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction drives the success of Birdies Pro Shop, making it a trusted destination for golfers of all levels at Seabrook Golf Club.
